AskHelp.ca is a Canada-first lead marketplace operated from Ontario. We help neighbours describe a home job and introduce them to nearby independent providers. We are not the contractor, and we do not perform the work.
Your role as a customer
You ask for help, confirm a few details (including your name, phone, email, job address, occupancy, who will pay, payment mode, and consent to text updates), and choose or accept a nearby pro when quotes arrive. You agree to share a truthful description and a city we serve or a postal code. Emergency dangers (fire, medical, gas) belong with 911 — AskHelp is not an emergency service.
Quotes are an introduction
When you send a request, independent local providers in that trade can send you a quote. You compare quotes and choose one; nothing is booked until you do. Your chosen provider is asked to contact you within 10 minutes. Some requests may not receive a quote. A quote is not a guarantee of price, timing, or workmanship.
Who handles the job
The provider you hire is responsible for the work, invoices, permits, complaints, and any warranty they offer. AskHelp generates the lead and hosts the conversation tools. If something goes wrong on site, start with your provider.
Accounts and SMS
Keep your login and phone number current. Outbound texts are branded AskHelp.ca. AskHelp currently serves a limited set of Ontario cities.
Liability
To the extent allowed by Ontario law, AskHelp is not liable for the provider’s work, delays, or property damage arising from the job. You may have additional rights under Canadian consumer law that we do not ask you to waive.
